The C.A.R.E. Program
The C.A.R.E. Program Framework:
The C.A.R.E. framework is designed to build lasting community transformation through trauma-informed education, accountability, and empowerment:
● C – Creating a Safe Space:
Organizers are responsible for securing an emotionally and physically safe environment for the gathering. This includes having adequate
space, trained personnel, and resources that allow attendees to feel protected, heard, and supported throughout the event.
● A – Acknowledgement:
We go beyond mere awareness to boldly acknowledge that abuse and trauma are real problems impacting every community. Acknowledgement is the first step toward healing and honest transformation.
● R – Responsibility:
We emphasize that while victims cannot control what happened to them, they can take responsibility for their healing journey and for accessing the resources made available to them. Communities also bear responsibility to respond with compassion, accountability, and support.
● E – Education and Empowerment:
Sustainable change happens when communities are continuously educated on the realities of abuse and trauma. We are committed to ongoing learning and equipping individuals to empower themselves and others in the healing process.
Outcome:
When The Twe12ve Project, Inc. leaves a city, we do not leave a void. We leave behind a framework, a network, and a spark —
so that care doesn’t end with a presentation but becomes a movement.
